We hope you enjoy browsing images of our most recent events and adventures. As a council we partake and volunteer for many events each year and use this section as a visual repository documenting all those endeavors. Thank you for your interest in Knights of Columbus Council #6780!
Our Knights volunteered to assist the operation of this annual women's event, taking place in our old church room that has been converted to an event space over recent months. Our brothers enjoyed interacting and serving the women of our parish who attended.
As is tradition, we celebrate our shepherd's birthdays yearly. Fr. Michael got love at the parish as well as the Landing from our brother Knights.
Our council stayed busy in the fall with our annual Tootsie Roll drive (check being presented to the Liberty Women's Clinic, far left), celebrating our beloved David Jone's birthday (middle), and accepting another Star Council Award (right).
Our yearly golf outing at Excelsior Springs Golf Course raising money for the unborn. Another year of success for this event, and fun was had by all.
We gathered recently at the Burns Farm in Liberty for food, music, fellowship, and most importantly - fun!
Pictured are the winners of the annual Knights 8th grade essay contest that was given to the essay winners last night at the St. James School 8th Grade Graduation and Mass. The essay winners were 1st - Henry Hames - $250.00; 2nd – Ava Wishon - $150.00; 3rd – Ellerie Jensen - $100.00. A special thanks to Kevin Nordhues and our Knight judges who led this student essay initiative for us.
A handful of our Knights attended this event for a great cause, and included attendance by a future NFL hall of famer, Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker.
Leveraged as a fundraiser for seminarians that we sponsor, our Knights recently prepared and sold breakfast burritos after Sunday masses. They were delicious, and we know that is the case as we sold out!
This free, public outdoor event was a gathering of the "one holy catholic and apostolic Church," from the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph and the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. BEHOLD KC included Mass, Confession, nationally-recognized live musical talent, local choirs and the largest Eucharistic adoration opportunity in our city in more than 80 years. Approximately 10,000 people attended, with 50 priests, our Bishop, and 100 Knights from various councils volunteering.
