Knights of Columbus are Catholic gentlemen committed to the exemplification of charity, unity, fraternity, patriotism, and defense of the priesthood. The Order is consecrated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Order is unequivocal in its loyalty to the Pope, the Vicar of Christ on earth. It is firmly committed to the protection of human life

It is firmly committed to the protection of human life, from conception to natural death, and to the preservation and defense of the family. It was on these bedrock principles that the Order was founded over a century ago and remains true to them today.

Our St. James Knights are an active group, leading the charge for our parish and always seeking out opportunities to serve the parish membership as well as the community at large. A wide range of service efforts are pursued by our council members: food drives, Tootsie Roll sales, fish fries, just to name a few. Collectively our 330+ broth

Collectively our 330+ brothers have been established as a pillar in the parish and Liberty area, evoking the unique achievement of being awarded the Knights of Columbus Star Council Award four consecutive years.

Starting with our Grand Knight, Tom Greufe, our officer team facilitates our membership with enthusiasm and evokes brothers within the council to be actively involved and volunteer for all of our multiple endeavors each year. Additionally, we benefit spiritually from the guidance of our pastoral sponsor, Fr. Michael Volkmer, who stays vigilant and provides our brothers by way of his dutiful and faithful inspiration.
